
POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The purpose of this role is to analyze, define and document user business process requirements and perform testing on new systems to support Tax Collector client and back-office service functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitors daily functioning of assigned system(s) to ensure continuity and stability of the system for users.
- Logs system issues to identify systemic or recurring problems, works with appropriate parties to achieve resolution.
- Makes recommendations to management and department staff on procedural and training issues as identified through end-user use of tax software system and analysis of recurring issues.
- Conducts data imports/exports based on operational need, public records requests, and/or tax year calendar requirements and ensures accuracy through testing or visual review.
- Receives/resolves IT Help Desk tickets associated with proper functioning of assigned software.
- Coordinates and participates in meetings to address system issues and discuss operational processes.
- Coordinates tasks, data, and information flow with other team members to ensure tasks are accomplished and non-duplicative.
- Works with other departmental managers, as needed, to ensure full utilization of automated workflow offered in assigned program(s).
- Serves as a resource for escalated issues and transactions for staff seeking procedural or statutory guidance.
- Documents procedures and assists with assessing system capabilities.
- Develops a system and maintains a regular schedule for conducting quality system audits.
- Assists with development and analysis of quantitative and qualitative measures and reports.
- Ensures compliance with applicable procedures, statutes, laws and codes.
- Identifies areas for process improvement through automation and develops solutions to ensure the greatest impact on productivity and accuracy.
- Creates, tests, documents and implements cross departmental procedures to facilitate otherwise manual or time-consuming tasks while increasing accuracy and mitigating human error.
- Automate the process of analyzing large reports, reconciliations or other large datasets.
- Process, edit and log changes to assigned system(s), which would otherwise be very time consuming and error prone, to prepare payment import files quickly with optimal accuracy. Used for lifetime of this payment service.
Qualifications:
At least two years of college, bachelor’s degree preferred, with an emphasis on Information Systems or Computer Science and three years’ experience in business analysis, system design training, technical support, network design, or any equivalent combination which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid state of Florida driver’s license.

Compensation:
$64,000 – $92,500/yr Exempt
