To obtain a learner’s license, you must pass the Class E Knowledge Exam. The Class E Knowledge Exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions about Florida traffic laws, safe driving practices and identifying traffic controls. To pass, you must answer 40 out of 50 questions correctly or score 80 percent.
Please Note: Feb 9, 2026 – March 31, 2026: Exams are available in English and Spanish. Beginning April 1, 2026, Exams will only be available in English. External translation services are no longer permitted.
