To obtain a Class E driver license, you must pass the Road Test which consists of a series of maneuvers, used to determine an applicant’s ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. To qualify for a driver license, you must hold a learner’s license for one year (12 months) from the issuance date, or must be 18 years old.
Effective February 9, 2026, all driver license knowledge and driving exams will be exclusively offered in English. In addition, and through March 31, 2026, these exams will also be offered in Spanish. Language translation services will no longer be permitted.
